Hurricane Kits are Ideal.

Get a plastic container with lid at Walmart ,throw everything in and store in easy accessible location in home.

  • Flashlights ( numerous ,1 for each room in home
  • Batteries ( All sizes for different electronics)
  • Dry and canned food for animals 
  • Perishable food, cans, instant coffee, beef jerky, peanut butter, cereal, instant soup
  • Get Car charger for phone to be charged in case no electricity in home
  •  Clock or NOAA Radio (wind-up or Battery)
  •  Water: 5 Gallons per person in Household
  • Aspirin, First Aid Kit, Medication OTC and Prescription Medication
  • Tool kit for shutters ,opening electronics, 

Emergency Procedures

  • Fill Car with Gas and Have an extra Gas Can if needed 
  • Put down shutters outside of home in all areas, Make sure they are all bolted and screwed in tightly.
  • Fill tub with water to flush down toilets or extra water to bathe yourself with.
  • Turn down temperature to Refrigerator & Freezer in case electricity goes out
  • Put all Important documents in plastic bag to keep dry and store in inner area of home or keep on you. Some people store theirs in dishwashers
